Newport News Plant’s Bacteria Laboratory

Raw material, coatings (breadcrumbs and batter), processed products, and swab tests are continuously checked for weight, imperfections, flavor and presence of bacteria. Bacteria samples are sent to an outside, FDA-approved laboratory for confirmation of results.
